Fahrenheit 911…

I keep hearing about it. Now I’m a big time skeptic when it comes to obviously bias political films…and I’m surprised not more people are. And since most controversial things like this, especially by Michael Moore, tend to be less than what they deserve, I decided to check into it. I’ve officially decided I’m not going to contribute money to his daughter’s elite private New York school fund by actually seeing the movie, but I’ll probably rent it from the library or something. Here’s my thoughts on him so far (Since everyone just looove to hear what I have to bitch about).
Just from what I know about Bowling For Columbine, I can assume that this won’t be much different: A little truth with lie mixed in, documentations edited so that you only hear what Mr. Moore wants you to hear, and plenty of misleading interviews.
Now, I’m not trying to be one of those right-wing corporate cabal determined to silence him (In fact, I’m neither a Democrat nor a Republican, so quit trying to label me, hoodlums!), but when I keep seeing the spectrum of political favor bend towards one particular person, I do background checks. I am a bastard. From what I've found, this guy’s got a history of messing around with facts.
For example: In Bowling for Columbine, there is a segment that has a Bank that distributes rifles as their form of interest pay, rather than having to wait all that time for customers to collect their money. In this particular segment, Moore opens an account and is given a gun without much of any background checks or protest and a pitiful slab of paperwork. He leaves with the rifle in hand. Now that may seem quite shocking that a bank would be that irresponsible, but I did a bit of digging and discovered that the bank actually has a strict policy of detaining the gun at a vault four hours away while they do legal background checks with the FBI for an hour and a half. And the bank must be given one thousand dollars. Now I scratch my head and wonder how Moore obtained the gun right on the spot…it turns out that he had arranged it all two months in advance to make it seem reckless. You can read the whole pretty report here: www.bowlingfortruth.com/bowlin…
Oh, and the whole dish about how Charleston Heston had a big gun rally 48-hours after Kayla Rolland was pronounced dead after being shot by a classmate? It’s actually very cleverly put together. I won’t go into detail, but you can read the very enlightening report right here: www.hardylaw.net/Truth_About_B…
And now…If Michael Moore is so confident in himself, why the hell does he keep debunking Laura Ingraham? She’s been doggedly trying to snag him for an interview for two years and he refuses to go on her show (Yet he has no problem interviewing toothless rednecks that sleep with magnum revolvers under their pillows). Why the hell not?
I’m just saying…if the truth is as powerful and moving as Moore claims it to be…why does it need to be altered?
Ha, I'll probably regret posting this later, but at the moment I don't care...

Sorry, but I'm sick of people eating up every word from Michael Moore. I mean, people act as if he's....actually...like....more sophisticated and more credible than all these other 'lowly' politics that lie and cheat and deceive...oh wait, isn't that what Michael Moore is doing? Um, yea! He plays on the conscience and therefore has a more sympathetic ground to stand on, but guess what: he's not all he's cracked up to be.

Hahaha, well, that's actually not too far off from what I see from, no offense to honest, REAL ones, a lot of liberal speakers. They only tell half the truth, and usually leave out the most essential part.

Actually, it's a good strategy. Americans love eating up whatever the media puts on their plate, and since it's mostly Liberal-biased, well, you can see it works.
